How often should a food metal detector be calibrated?
Most food manufacturers work to an annual or six-monthly calibration cycle, supported by daily or shift-based in-house performance checks. The right frequency depends on your risk assessment, retailer code of practice and how heavily the line is used. We are happy to review your current schedule and advise.
What is the difference between calibration, validation and verification?
Calibration sets and confirms the detector’s settings and sensitivity. Validation proves the system is capable of doing the job your HACCP plan asks of it, for your specific products. Verification is the ongoing routine checking that shows it is still performing between calibrations.
Do you really offer same day service?

Can you train our own operators and QA team?
Yes. Our metal detector SME training is delivered on site using your own equipment, so the team learns the exact test routine, record keeping and escalation process they will use every day.
